## Settings

Keep everything Resolve writes on your Mac. Only footage goes on Spools.

- **DaVinci Resolve → Preferences → System → Media Storage:** put the first location on your Mac. Render cache, optimized media, and proxies go there.
- **File → Project Settings → Master Settings → Working Folders:** keep cache files and gallery stills on your Mac.
- Keep your project library on your Mac.

## Import

Import files from `~/Spools` as you normally would. Playback speed depends on your connection. Generating optimized media or proxies downloads the whole file.
