Any AI app that supports remote MCP with OAuth, such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor, can use Spools. The Mac app is not required.

## Connect

1. In your AI app's connector settings, add a remote MCP server named **General Motion**. If it asks for a transport, choose **Streamable HTTP**.
2. Enter `https://generalmotion.studio/mcp`.
3. Sign in with your General Motion account in the browser. Do not use an API key.

## What it can do

- Find files by name, not by content.
- Read small text files and get download links for others. Links expire.
- Create folders, and move, copy, or trash files, if you have permission.
- Upload files, if your AI app can send HTTP uploads.

It sees only the current version of each file.

## If it does not work

- **No sign-in prompt:** check the URL, and that your app supports remote MCP with OAuth.
- **Missing files:** ask the agent which organization and Drive it is using.
- **Cannot change a file:** the Drive may be read-only.
